HLTV.org caught up with FireGamers captain Renato "nak" Nakano after his team's early exit at the WCG. The Brazilian team registered an amazing 17-13 win over fnatic in their last group match, a result which is, however, not enough to see them through. A three-way tie at the top was decided by the round difference between the tied teams, which ruled that FireGamers finished third with a -6 record, behind wNv.cn (+8 record) and fnatic (-2). After the match, Nakano blamed the heavy defeat to wNv.cn for his side's early exit in the tournament.
Nakano is confident his team can only improve in the future after defeating fnatic, who are regarded as one of the strongest contenders for the WCG title, in FireGamers' first international appearance.
